Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Enhanced Printer Glass: 235mm x 4.0mm for Reliable Built-In Performance by David Herman

It takes some getting used to, but it's worth it

TLDR: it costs money I've always heard that printing on glass is a good idea, but I didn't understand why until I went and grabbed it. It's incredibly flat compared to the mat that came with my A10. It doesn't stick as much as the mat, but after adjusting my print settings it sticks at just the right amount (which wasn't possible with the previous mat, which was essentially glued to the platform). I'm less likely to damage my printer by trying to rip out larger prints, making this item worth the money. I also appreciate the much better surface finish of the prints (it's insanely smooth), which helped improve vertical tolerance for denser prints. The clamps are ok but they worked as expected with no issues. I'm not sure I set the table temperature correctly due to the extra thermal mass that the glass adds, but I haven't had to enter it yet (the print is mostly PLA).

Pros
  • HIGH COMPATIBILITY 3D PRINTER GLASS GLASS. A glass platform for seven different 3D printers. This 235mm x 235mm x 4.0mm is perfect for use in several Ender Series models including the Crealty Ender-3, Ender 3X, Ender Pro and Ender-5. Other compatible models are Creality CR-20, CR-20 Pro, Geeetech A10 and Disway DC-01. The Ender-3 has a claimed footprint of 220mm x 220mm x 250mm, but its actual base dimensions are 235mm x 225mm.
Cons
  • I don't remember
