I received my device and it was like new. I unpacked and checked the firmware update and it was original so I tried to update from 1000.5 to the latest 1001.8 and the USB port didn't read the stick. I've tried another flash drive and still no luck. I really wanted it to run at peak performance, so I called Samsung and contacted tech support right away. I went several times with a guy, downloaded, unzipped, put the soundbar on USB, still no data. He said he would send maintenance staff and I said I would just send it back. I'm sure that's why they sent it back the first, second or third time. Never accept a refurbished device that needs immediate service. Spring.
