When these rods first arrived I thought they were too heavy for my eyelet cotton curtains. Not so! I started using them and they were great. A thinner rod would be too flexible. My husband says he likes to grab both at once to open them like he's "conducting!" At first I didn't know how to attach them, but I decided to use a small fabric loop with a small metal D-ring sew on that I bought at a fabric store. Then the rod could simply be hooked directly onto it or removed when washing the curtains. These bars were well packaged and arrived quickly.
