Alert to Owners 7.3 PowerStroke

This solenoid did not work on my 2003 7.3 Powerstroke. This solenoid has a grounded terminal. Maybe I have a bad solenoid. But the fact that this solenoid doesn't have lugs in the base like the OEM version makes me think differently. This version is only supplied with 12 V at the smallest terminal. PCM in 7.3 sends 12V to both small terminals. When the PCM calls the glow plugs, it sends ground to one of the terminals. When I installed this, it turned on the glow plugs as soon as the key was turned on. At this point the solenoid was stuck in the closed position and kept firing the glow plugs. I removed the key and the car continued to work. I had to pull the fuel pump fuse to turn the truck off. Upon further investigation, the solenoid, when closed, connected 12V to the smaller terminals. This in turn excited the PCM and kept it running.
