K&N makes excellent filters (air and oil). They form better than when you bought the original equipment, allowing more airflow while still providing protection. The fact that they can be cleaned and reused means they cost less in the long run. I have used K&N air filters since 1995 and will continue to do so. I recommend replacing the original air filter before it reaches the end of its life and leaving it available. This way you can continue to use your car while you wait for the K&N air filter to dry after cleaning. ATTENTION! Follow the cleaning instructions carefully.
