We print some pictures with it. They're not as good as their professional prints and we're not concerned about using photo paper which might improve their appearance, but we like to use it so we can rotate the images in our holders often. LOVE that it can print borderless up to 8.5 x 11. We have 8.5 x 11 acrylic holders and they have pictures in them that we can rotate however we want. This is a very good attitude. and photos are perfectly found at a distance of about 4 feet. If you get really close you'll see that they could be a bit sharper, but the colors are pretty good and only regular carbon paper is used. I also like that it can print double-sided itself. I use this feature all the time to save paper when simplex printing is not required. Works very smoothly. The only thing that would be nice would be if it had a built in scanner. However, I have yet to face the time when I had to scan something in really high resolution. Scanning with my phone usually works fine for whatever I need. But if I really need a perfect scan, I'll have to look elsewhere. I didn't want to pay too much for this feature when I found this printer at a good price. Overall very happy with the purchase.
