First off, gender doesn't matter when using this product. But I'm sure it's just for marketing. This was used on thick dark hair on my arms and it worked very well. The product may have a slight odor for a few seconds, but this will quickly dissipate. It is quite tolerable to use it in an enclosed space. It's important to apply it in a thick enough layer so you can see what you've done and don't miss anything. It doesn't stay wet but starts to dry out a bit before 8 minutes has passed. It left no odor, no redness, and no negative reaction whatsoever. The skin afterwards is soft, and the hair does not grow sharp, but softer. I have found that the thicker the hair, the more effective the product is. Some of the finer hairs remained, especially on the second use a week later. It could also have been user error. The ransom depends on how long the bottle lasts.
