I know beta fish (with long fins/tails) are male, but I call mine olive. When it came to the offer, I chose this tank because I felt it would have more space. The tank was easy to set up (although I didn't find everything clear). I added some stones that weren't provided and filled it with water. This tank is quiet, although there is a filter that charges or is powered by a USB cable (included). There is a button on the top that controls the LEDs and provides different levels of brightness. There is a place for living (aquatic) plants. It even comes with an extra basket with smaller slots. And finally, there is a compartment on the front that slides out and holds your phone. I probably won't use this feature because I don't have a fish tank on my bedside table where I keep my phone. All in all, Olive is happy and so am I.
