On my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 PU the switch on my overhead console broke. I've found that this might work as a replacement. The original switch is a 3-wire switch that allows the flashlight to have an additional function. One is when the door is open and the other when you are inside and press to turn on the light. With this switch I used it to turn on the light when I wasted it. The other side of the driver with the original switch that was disassembled I super glued as it was all the parts and works when you open the door. . In other applications, this is a great on/off switch (not instant on).
