Review on Undersummers Classic Shortlette: Plus Size Anti Thigh Chafing Slip Shorts For Under Dresses by John Kachinosky

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Runs true to size to a little big. for a 20/22W, 2x might be perfect

I bought these as a rash guard when I wear skirts. I bought a 3x and I wear 20W/22W in dresses and pants and usually a 2x overall, depending on the designer. If they run really big, like INC from Macy's, I wear an 18W in pants. Waist = 45 inches. HIps = 55 inches. So, with those measurements, I figured I'd get a 3x, since shapewear tends to run tight/small. I can't fit in the 2x from Bali for example. And in Rago, I at 20/22W would be an 8x for a comfy and non-restricting fit. And this other thigh shaper, Shaparee #230, I got was a 4x for a not-tight, normal fit (that one I recommend, too.)In this one, I got a 3x, and I need a 2x. It runs big. So, size to your true size or just a scosh bigger if between sizes, is my guess. The 3x was wearable, but loose in the thighs, to the point it was super comfy but absolutely no "grab." I like a shortlette to have a tiny bit of snug (not enough to squeeze, but enough to feel like it won't roll up.I could fit my hand easily into the thigh portion while wearing it. No grip in the 3x for me.Anyway, it's up to you. If you like TIGHT rash guards, size down. If you like a normal feel, stay true to size. If you like them loose with no snugness, go up one size. I'm about to order the 2x, but I'll still wear the 3x, as it's comfy, if un-snug/looseish. :D Easy to yank down and up, that's for sure.Nice product.

Pros
  • Can be worn during sleep to prevent chafing and irritation
Cons
  • Can be difficult to store
