I use this car phone mount to mount my iPhone 12 Pro. It works as intended. The phone clip is a manual press with a push button to reopen. My car is a small cab so the alternative clamp provided worked well to attach the holder to the air vent. You can see it in the first photo attached. It attaches to the vent with a wing nut knot so it can be tightened properly to stay in place. It should be noted that the bottom part of the holder lies next to the speaker openings of the phone. So when you use the phone in speaker mode, the mount reduces the flow of sound, making it difficult to hear the other party during a call. However, the volume of navigation apps is okay.
