I've been using these shells for a few months now and they are perfect for hatching small turtles. I have used them to hatch mud, musk and North American spotted turtles with great success. They are the perfect size for hatchling while they develop their swimming muscles and learn to eat before moving on to a larger hatchling pen. These tubs are good quality, made from very thick/durable material and have held up very well after many cleanings. NO cheap, brittle plastic. The slotted lid also allows you to provide UV light while keeping the enclosure secure and your turtle protected. Very happy with this product for my application.
