I was fighting between four and five stars because my cat just loves these gloves. He starts purring as soon as we take them out. He switches sides while we use it. He will lie on one side and then turn around to do the other side. I took off the black star for two reasons: 1) The black power supply is easy to hook into. When our cat tells us he's done, he bites his glove. His teeth caught several times, leaving hooks. The same goes for his claws. They also cling to the black web and fray. 2) If the gloves are full of hair, then yes, removing the hair is easy. But when the hair loss time is small, hair removal is a nuisance. I like to have clean gloves between uses, so I pluck my hair if it rarely falls out. That's a lot of time. But I've found that if you use a wooden skewer and run it through each row and then pull it up, cleaning the mitt helps if that helps solve this problem. If I could rate the product 4.5 stars I would because overall I am very happy with the gloves and my cat loves them.
