I used this to rebuild a starter motor for my 2005 Honda CR-V. It is best to use all parts from the kit. I have found that the copper washer is thicker than the OEM and the piston skirt is slightly shorter than the OEM. However, if you use all parts of this kit, it will work properly. If you try to use a genuine OEM washer, it will not make proper electrical contact due to the difference in thickness. All in all, this is a great way to save money on your original OEM Fitsuba starter rebuild. Just use moly grease on the gears. There are many videos on YouTube how to restore the starter.
