This is the part of the starter that is failing.

If you can replace the starter you can easily rebuild it. It looks like quality materials have been used on this part. In fact, when you buy a starter motor from an auto parts store, you're more likely to get a remanufactured part. That's all you need to restore it.

This kit is 95% same as OEM part

I used this to rebuild a starter motor for my 2005 Honda CR-V. It is best to use all parts from the kit. I have found that the copper washer is thicker than the OEM and the piston skirt is slightly shorter than the OEM. However, if you use all parts of this kit, it will work properly. If you try to use a genuine OEM washer, it will not make proper electrical contact due to the difference in thickness. All in all, this is a great way to save money on your original OEM Fitsuba starter rebuild…

You can't put a price tag on peace of mind. It's amazing that you can buy anything at Revain.

I couldn't find this starter brush assembly anywhere in my town! Some companies advertised universal brush repair kits, but one day I saw them live. Looks like I'll have to do a lot of rigging to get the kit to work so-so. Something sketchy! And the price was almost the same as the starter advertised on Revain.
