This is a mic stand for solo recording at home or as a backup for small group projects. It does what it's supposed to do and that's the most important thing. My microphone (Audio Technica AT 2100 USB) fits into the supplied clip; I thought I would have to use my own clip. The stand can be surprisingly compact, especially when disassembled for storage in the included pouch. What annoys me the most is the build quality, which is not surprising at this price point. Sometimes the rod that attaches to the hand seems a bit loose even when fully tightened. I accidentally hit the stand which caused my hand to slide down a bit, but other than that I had no problems. For the price it's very good for people working from home but I wouldn't recommend it for people playing live.
