Firstly I don't use a charger or dash mount just a vent because I don't want glue inside my car. This is a good product. If you have a low car, rigid suspension, etc., your phone can move slightly when side mounted and when driving over bumps, but it won't fall off. Vertical mounting shouldn't be a problem. The metal bracket is great and I put it on top of my phone case as my case is thin and it protects the phone from glue. The magnet is pretty strong. As mentioned, I don't use a charger so I can't give a 5 star rating. The charger is not removed from the device. It's hardwired. This most likely makes wireless charging better than many wireless chargers, but for those who always use our phones for Google Maps or Waze, it's a little annoying. The charging cable is neatly secured in the box so I'll leave it hanging for now as it's short and out of the way. Might trim it later. Comment: The attachment area where the metal you attach to the phone makes contact with the magnet is already scratched from my daily driving and use. The bracket has a few scratches, the metal part on the back of the phone is polished metal and has no scratches. It also looks pretty good on a plain phone case. 4/5 stars, although I would have liked 5 stars. Just buying for a family member.
