Review on Pump Sentry 822 PS- Ensuring Sump Pump Efficiency during Emergencies with Sec America by Steve Douglas

Very bad product support. Gets hot. Vulnerable to early failure. overpriced.

I bought this in May 2020. It was working fine, but recently there was a check engine light that said the battery needed replacing. I took the battery to the battery and lightbulb department and it turned out to be good. I didn't want to risk it, so I bought a new battery anyway. The device with each battery produces about 60 volts. Something went wrong. I'm not too surprised as this thing gets pretty hot even with the fan running at full blast when the swamp is on. I tried to write to the company for warranty repair but got no response. I've been trying to call for several days and always get a busy signal on the contact number listed on their website. I was looking for a company to see if they had gone out of business and upon researching I found that they have a staff of 3 people. managers, credit managers and sales managers. Obviously their contract is all working, and probably this is a cheap bunch of Chinese. For the price, this thing should be bulletproof and last forever. Obviously not. I was always afraid that at a critical moment he would let me down because of extreme heat and that's what happened. Save some money and get the best product at Raybend for $429.99. Much better in every way. I should also add these 1/2 HP mud pumps. consume 10 amps, that's 1200 watts, that's the nominal power of these 822 hp. Unlike the 1500W Raybend model, there is no overhead. That's probably why they fail so often under heavy use.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
