This is a good device that works properly and I have all four USB slots full. The only downside I have is that the light display is too small and too dim. Sometimes I can't see which computer I'm connected to when I come back from a long break. However, this isn't as bad as shooting stars. So far it seems to be a good product. If I last a few years it will be worth the money and I don't see why not. I wish they would get rid of the cheap cables and drop the price a few bucks. UPDATE: Seven months after I got this up and running, two of the four UBS slots are worth nothing. You are generating a signal but not receiving an input signal from the connected component. I have a keyboard, card reader and GPS connected to these two ports and they are powered but not recognized by my computer. It started about two weeks ago and the connection was sporadic at first but now it's not at all. This is a fairly simple and inexpensive item and I expected it to last over seven months. If they need to add a dollar or two to the price to make a component better, they should. Also, I still don't know why two cheap cables need to be added. Almost everyone has extra cables, and they're probably better than the ones they supply.
