- Fuel leaked out every time I filled up but only when I did, leading me to believe the problem was with the filler neck. A few tips for those who have a similar problem and want to save money working in a mechanical shop: - You can do this without getting under the truck - Remove the driver's side fender, wheel spats and inner wheel arch cover, there You will have full access to replacement - You will need exterior/automotive double sided tape to reinstall the fairing properly - You will need at least 1 hose clamp after you put the new neck back into the rubber hose - You may need rust preventive or WD40 etc because some of the screws that need to be removed have probably not been touched in a long time - be prepared to be alarmed by the amount of rust on the underside but I bought it used it's 2005 so I wasn't very surprised in love - the rubber hose that connects the filler neck with the petrol tank ka If you can also exchange it on site, I didn't do it and may regret it in the future, it's up to you in this respect. Replacing that alone solved the fuel leak for me. Save some money and buy this part if you are in a similar situation. Allow about an hour, only basic tools are needed.
