After some silly user error (I was thinking about reverse VESA mounts) I was able to get it up and running in about 40 minutes. I have a custom hickory worktable and I need to assist the engineers by using a good thick rubber as the surface for the top attachment of the table clamp. I usually put a styrofoam wedge in there to protect surfaces like this and luckily with this one I didn't have to! They made the installation bulletproof. Positioning of the main bracket bar is allowed in two positions via holes, and the VESA mounts themselves are even explicitly marked "L" and "R" and I found that they also make different sized pins and holes have, so that are larger you could ONLY place in one place. While the blueprint-only manual required a bit of interpretation, I felt the overall process was satisfying. (Easier than Ikea.) My first big mistake (and I'll open a support ticket) is that I couldn't get the monitors to work via USB-C and daisy chain. This is by no means the WORST thing in the world, but before ordering, I double-checked that my NVIDIA 1660Ti is capable of streaming video over USB. and while I can see USB ports on both panels, my system doesn't explicitly see that it can send video over USB-C. My workaround is to use the HDM and Mini DP options on my laptop (MSI GP75 Leopard 9SD-17e2). ) only has a standard 10Gb/s USB 3.2 connector. data only. =-(The choice of HDMI/DP combo may have contributed to the fact that the DP monitor needed minor calibration adjustments compared to the other monitor. Both work very well and overall I'm very satisfied. "I'm not a big gamer and a few Games I play don't really need a >60MHz refresh which is a shame these days. These panels replace a good MSI monitor I bought earlier this year with a 165MHz refresh. What's weird is the overall performance my PC seems to be faster. I suspect there's a good chance I'm hitting the upper limit between my 1080p graphics card and the 2K data rate. But then is the screen resolution the same on these IPS monitors? I found that here both monitors interestingly run at 74.971 Only one monitor with HDMI has the ability to drop the refresh rate down to 59 and make some adjustments Some of you will be able to use 1.) daisy chain or 2.) all HDMIs or all DPs. The only calibration adjustment I had to make was that the monitor on the display port was too black: manual calibration at lag(dot)nl At the blackest, the box was completely unobservable. I was able to fix this by enabling "Black Stabilizer" in the game menu. By tweaking the contrast/brightness a bit I was able to make it almost impossible to tell the difference. By the way, you can't do much with the gamma on these panels. I note 1.5 at 48% and 1.7 at 25% and 10% respectively. (Score should be 2.25 (48%), 2.20 (25%) and 2.17 (10%)). There are five gamma settings, none of which affect this test. Video/photo editing, so I don't care, and if you REALLY need something better, you'll probably choose something else entirely. Someone with real experience with this type of editing should answer here. In summary, this is a home game for me. I have my own music studio desk and it is intended to serve as my work from home post-COVID workspace. This is a phenomenal investment that has freed up so much space and my only caveat is that chances are it probably never would have happened had I had to pay for this kit if I didn't have the panels in action to be able to see. LG should sell this mount separately because it's great on its own and does everything I've ever wanted. I'm really looking forward. =-)
