Review on Mediasonic Enclosure Aluminum Support HDL SU3 by Alif Eagle

I bought this to use with a Macbook. I put in a branded 6TB hard drive, for which you need a small electronic screwdriver. I connected everything, formatted the Mac drive and backed it up using the native Time Machine program. The disc was unsafely ejected before completion, resulting in an error. I deleted the partial information and restarted the backup. The second time everything went smoothly. I hope the first bug was an anomaly and I'll update my review if I encounter other issues. UPDATE: My PS4 crashed and I had to use a backup. My old backup drive was a 2TB HP USB 2.0 drive. After spending 26 hours recovering my 1.5TB of data, I decided to use my 6TB drive as my gaming drive (system software backups, game saves, media files like videos and screenshots). This USB 3.0 drive is much faster. It works pretty well in this app, but it goes to sleep automatically, so you'll either have to unplug the USB cable and then plug it back in, or use the power button on the back and turn the drive off then back on on your PS4 to turn it on recognize. It's annoying but doesn't bother me as I don't use the drive every time I use my PS4 and it's not hard to flick the switch when I need a backup. I am ordering another Mediasonic drive enclosure for a 4TB drive. to use with my Macbook as a backup. UPDATE 2: I don't know why the drive initially disconnected when used with a PS4. Now I've found that it doesn't turn off at all (it can sleep when not in use, but wakes up again when I tell it to do something without unplugging it or unplugging/again plug in). There are full 5 stars for that. It works great for both my PS4 and Macbook.
