Supports 10TB on computers and accessories

Very easy to use, but you need a precision Phillips screwdriver for two small screws. I have a craft version of this that I have owned for many years and it should work. It appears to be the same size as mine: Wiha - Precision Phillips #000 X 40 - 26102. I think an eyeglass screwdriver would work too. Although it says "up to 8TB" here, it fits on my 10TB drive. Drive size is limited by hardware address space, but I think any 6TB+ is enough for 10TB. Installation is as simple as removing two…

Use with PS4 and Mac

I bought this to use with a Macbook. I put in a branded 6TB hard drive, for which you need a small electronic screwdriver. I connected everything, formatted the Mac drive and backed it up using the native Time Machine program. The disc was unsafely ejected before completion, resulting in an error. I deleted the partial information and restarted the backup. The second time everything went smoothly. I hope the first bug was an anomaly and I'll update my review if I encounter other issues. UPDATE:

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Fast and attractive drive enclosure works well on my Mac

The Mediasonic ProBox HDL-SU3 hard drive enclosure is a sleek black aluminum enclosure with plastic end caps, a USB3 port, wall-mounted wart and a short USB3. It's subtly attractive and barely larger than a 3.5-inch drive. I installed a 3GB 7200rpm Seagate Barracuda that I pulled out of an old OWC-FW case. Installation couldn't be easier: 1. Remove the two mounting screws from the back cover; 2. Plug in the SATA connector; 3. Insert the driver into the sleeve; and 4. Replace the two screws to…

Approaching Perfection.

TL;DR: The best 3.5 inch case I could find at any price point. Buy It Now. I only received it today so my experience with it so far is limited. But that's all I dreamed of when I ordered it. Here are some key details: Pros: Size: It's big enough to hold your standard 3.5 inch hard drive. Not enough room for the drive to wiggle there, but not tight enough to force it. Cooling. Unlike many others, this is a solid aluminum (or some type of metal) case, so heat dissipates very well. It continuously

case works very well.

Update Summary 01/15/20: Recently, after excellent service, bought a second identical enclosure for another 4TB external hard drive from WD as a backup hard drive for another PC . from the first case, which has worked well so far. While I initially had some concerns about heat loss due to this fanless design; I've found that the closed HDD temperature has never risen above 45C and the HDD is still fine, so I'm increasing the rating from four to five stars. My only downside now is the…

Choose the plastic K32-SU3 over the aluminum HDL-SU3

I have both the plastic version of this case (K32-SU3) and the aluminum version (HDL-SU3). I ordered a plastic K32-SU3 last year and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I installed a 2TB Western Digital drive and have never seen it turn off even once. The SMART functions work great and it rolls up and down with no issues. The hard drive stays cool and has never exceeded 38 °C. It connects at full speed via USB 3 SuperSpeed and appears as a SATA III (6Gb/s) device in the CrystalDisk…
