I have a problem with my drill. If I drilled through a piece of wood and then rotated it in the opposite direction to remove the drill bit from the wood, the chuck would loosen and disengage from the drill bit. Okay things happen, not the end of the world. I called Dewalt support after finding nothing helpful on their website. (FAQ didn't help.) After a long wait, someone finally got in touch and helped. He sent me a UPS shipping label and I mailed it to a service center in Chicago. Then today, 9 days later, I get an email from Dewalt asking me to send the drill to a service center. So 9 days later after I sent it to the SC and long after they received it, they told me to send it to a service center. Brilliant. These guys are geniuses. They gave me a case number, so I went to the website to log in and check the status of the case. Well, there is nowhere on the website to enter the case number. you have to call Which I did again and after waiting about 7 minutes I got a response from an overworked but helpful customer service rep. He checked the status of my case and informed me that they would send me a repaired drill in about 2 weeks. So it will be almost a month before I get my drill back!
