Like most people, I have been using a Swiffer WetHet fir years. YEARS! Unfortunately, I knew I hated constantly purchasing the solution and those special pads (before the off brands became available). Somehow, my Swiffer was broken and I wasn't buying another one, so I got this mop and bucket. I think I stayed with the Swiffer as long as I did because I had mostly carpet except for the bathroom and kitchen, but that's not the case now. A Swiffer isn't going to make all the floors i have to mop easy, but this mop set will. My negative is that I have to find storage for the bucket, but it does clean better than a Swiffer. Instead of those pesky throwaway pads, you get 6 washable mop heads. I mopped my floor with hot water, Pinesol, and a dishwasher tablet. smells good and floors are clean. I don't know if I'll even go back to Swiffer-ing.
