This cable was exactly what I needed. I only have DisplayPort on my dock and my 1440p 144Hz monitor has 1 DisplayPort and 2 HDMI. do you see my problem here I had to convert my DisplayPort to HDMI, which seems pretty easy as both are digital signals. I was wrong. Most of the DisplayPort to HDMI cables at Revain are so poorly documented that choosing the right cable is a lottery. Many of them are only designed for DisplayPort 1.3-1.4 up to HDMI 1.4. At 1440p, the maximum refresh rate is 75Hz, although I know my dock can support 1440p at 120Hz. Not to mention the generally poor quality that makes the image appear and disappear every 2 seconds. So I spent most of 2 weeks looking for my cable. It wasn't until I found this "active" cable that I finally got what I needed. It was just plug and play and I got the 1440p at 120Hz I was looking for. In the last 2 weeks I never had any glitches or crashes. I wholeheartedly recommend this cable if you are connecting an old device to a new gaming monitor.
