Works at 4K 60Hz on older drivers

If you have an AMD 390 dp1.2 card like me and want 4K 60Hz to work, make sure you're using it older AMD 16.8.3 drivers. All newer drivers after that only show 30Hz. It took me hours to figure this out and it's an AMD driver issue. 4 stars for lack of support for new drivers.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Works almost best in Computers & Accessories

I've tried different cable lengths, different card connectors, Vizio and Samsung and different settings like RGB vs YCB, HDR etc when working in 4K HDR . Screen tearing and horizontal white streaks appear. It works and looks fine for a few minutes, but then it starts up again. If I remove the adapter and turn on HDMI directly, this no longer happens.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

LYING! This does NOT support 1440p at 120MHz!

So I have 3 monitors for my PC and wanted to go from 4k @ 60Hz to 2k @ 120Hz. These connectors said they could do it. I bought 6 of these. 3 for my main and 3 for my simulator. They don't support 120Hz at 1440p. I could only do the standard resolution 1920x1080 at 120Hz. It was a complete scam. Don't buy it if you need a 1440p refresh rate.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing

Disappointed - computer cable adapter

Bought 3 of these when upgrading my gaming array from 2k to 4k. They worked fine until the Revain Return window was closed; after about 5 weeks. Both the new high-speed cables and these DP-HDMI adapters were suspected. After replacing these adapters with new ones, my game array returned to the specified resolution. So the problem wasn't with the new cables, it was with the CableCreation adapters.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Something else

Didn't work with WMR or HDR

Didn't work properly with Windows Mixed Reality Headset. Sometimes the headset was not detected or turned on. Blank screen issues, stuttering in videos and some games. I tried using it with my 4k TV and overall it worked fine at 4k/60Hz but HDR didn't work, screen washed out white. I've gotten it to work with HDR a few times, but only once or twice out of a hundred. Not recommended for VR or HDR.

Works well (mostly)

I needed to connect a second monitor (Wacom Cintiq) but only had one HDMI port and one DP port. I used this to move my original monitor to DP and connect Wacom to HDMI. This adapter does the job and there is no visible difference in picture quality on my monitor. However, my only complaint is that the connection somehow doesn't seem 100% reliable: every now and then my monitor flickers black for just a second. It's not common and it's only for a moment, but I've never done this before, so I…

Exactly what I needed!

The HDMI port on my graphics card had screen lag issues only with Focus games. For example, the game drops the FPS on my HDMI monitor, but at the same time the FPS in OBS does NOT drop on my other monitor. This only happened with games that were on my HDMI monitor. I had to change it from 60hz progressive to 60hz interlaced because that would be kind of ok, but it's not progressive! , but only all DisplayPort remained (something none of my monitors have inputs for). My graphics card's HDMI…

Ideal for HDMI VR headsets

I connected an HDMI extension cable to my Samsung Odyssey+ VR headset and connected this adapter to the end of that cable to connect to my RTX 2080Ti. I use a TV that requires an HDMI cable, so I had to find an alternative way to connect my VR headset. After unsuccessful attempts with other adapters that did not exceed 60 Hz, frame judder and dimming, I was rather skeptical. To my surprise, I was amazed at how well it worked. My screen was bright, with full 90Hz support, and the resolution…

Random signal loss

This device looks nice but I had some problems with it. My desktop PC is connected to an OLED TV with a 30" HDMI cable. Connecting directly to my computer's HDMI port I had no problems for a year, but I needed that lonely HDMI port for something else, so I bought this adapter for my TV. With the adapter I still get 4K/60. and HDR on my LG OLED but the image looks a little dark at the bottom of the screen. It may be my imagination. What I can't imagine is the signal dropping for a second or two…

Cons
  • Very expensive

Exactly what I needed

This cable was exactly what I needed. I only have DisplayPort on my dock and my 1440p 144Hz monitor has 1 DisplayPort and 2 HDMI. do you see my problem here I had to convert my DisplayPort to HDMI, which seems pretty easy as both are digital signals. I was wrong. Most of the DisplayPort to HDMI cables at Revain are so poorly documented that choosing the right cable is a lottery. Many of them are only designed for DisplayPort 1.3-1.4 up to HDMI 1.4. At 1440p, the maximum refresh rate is 75Hz…
