I'm renovating my kitchen and need to relocate a lot of cables because I'm removing a wall. I figured it would save time compared to my trusty old wire stripper. I tried stripping standard Romex AWG12 and AWG14 wires. I've tried dozens of different inflation button settings and none have been more than 20% successful. Sometimes nothing worked. In most cases, the insulation came loose in the wrong place (where the wire was supposed to be held, not where the insulation was supposed to be cut). At worst, it cut into the copper, leaving it as uneven as a saw's teeth. After 3-4 days of fiddling around for hours I gave up and sent it back.
