Review on ๐ŸŒฎ Brentwood TS-127 8-Inch Stainless Steel Electric Tortilla Maker with Non-Stick Surface by Jill Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very loose bracket on the top plate.

I just received my 8 inch Brentwood tortilla machine. I use it to make roti. The very first thing that struck is that the part on the top plate that we use to close and open is not secure. It is so free that it can detach itself from this plate at any time. Also, the black part of the manufacturer's material, with the exception of the non-stick part, seems to be of very poor quality. I wonder how long this will take. This is good in terms of heating the roti. I'll try again, but because of its wobbly mount on the top plate, its fate in my kitchen is very precarious. Update - I noticed that there is an issue with the alignment of the two burners. They have a big gap between them so the roti was very thick when pressed and they break towards the big handle. No matter what I tried, the roti was thick because the hot plates weren't aligned and the top holder was loose, allowing steam to escape. In the end I returned it. I have ordered another Rotimemaker. Brentwood 10 inch. It has no wavy holder. I've tried it and it's very good for flattening and cooking roti. But the big grip is a bit loose again on this thing I got. I want to give this Rotimemaker a long-term try, but every piece I get has one issue or another. This is very frustrating.
