I have been using this for several years and have found that without regular cleaning the ball valve which can get dirty and/or get acid on it will stick and water will not flow out or the water flow does not stop properly when needed. I clean it by unscrewing the spout and spraying 409 or some aerosol soap on both ends and then rinsing with water under the bevel, pulling back on the spring-loaded spout to allow water to flow freely through the nozzle. I do this a few times trying to get all the soap out. This needs to be done for every 8 batteries I found. It works great when finished. I gave it 3 stars to draw attention to the fact that it can fail if not kept clean.
