Review on 🔌 FosPower Banana Plugs 6 Pairs / 12 pcs, Closed Screw 24K Gold Plated Speaker Wire Connectors – Ideal for Wall Plate, Home Theater, Audio/Video Receiver, Amplifiers, and Sound Systems by Alicia Neal

FosPower is said to be 4mm in size and around 21mm in length. There are no drawings showing this. Unfortunately they are 6mm too long for my purposes. The banana jacks previously installed fit snugly and snugly into the jack on my speakers and receiver as shown in the attached photo #0 on the left. However, the FosPower protrudes almost ¼" without a support, which I don't want. I'm afraid they'll snap if there's a sudden load. As an engineer, I value good design and solid construction. The well-fitting connector in this case is supported by both the post and the also supported by the shoulder. But remove that shoulder and the structure becomes half as strong. Another issue is that FosPower connectors are very difficult to install; at first I thought they were the wrong diameter, 5.5mm wide before I used them but after reading more reviews I tried again and was able to slip them in. But now we have another problem because the original banana corks were good quality, resilient and withstood multiple movements. FosPower forks are good for a few uses and then the spring is noticeably lacking Another knock and it has been the case with every similar fork I've seen at Revain :None of them list the size or length in the title or description; we have to wade through the questions to find the answers. Banana plugs are ideally manufactured to industry standards, so this information should be included in the product data sheet. Here, too, the diameter and length should be specified for the sake of clarity. On a positive note, the FosPower forks assemble as shown in the picture and I agree with that. The gold plate is sufficient and they look crisp! Attached pictures marked: #0 is a comparison of the original connector on the left with the FosPower connector on the right with my speaker. #1 shows the measured difference in length between the original above and the FosPower below. #2 clearly shows that the FosPower connector is the same length as my receiver. This is unacceptable. Unfortunately I have to keep looking for a suitable replacement. PS - Many thanks to Revain for delivering the order within 24 hours on Prime!
