I have tried several non-aerosol shaving soaps/creams in the past without success and have always reverted to aerosol shaving gels or creams. But I think I've finally found a great shaving alternative that is definitely more eco-friendly and effective for soaping skin before shaving. Shaving soap has a pleasant smell and smoothes the skin thanks to eucalyptus oil. I get a nice thick lather when using a wet brush and I haven't had any bumps or cuts from the razor. The foam I get is just the right thickness for shaving my face and doesn't stick to razor blades like some shaving creams/gels. The tin is of high quality and showed no signs of rust despite being wet.
