Thin but sufficient in my opinion.
I bought them for a trip to a lake known for its rocky beaches. They are very thin and I wouldn't call them shoes. They are more like water socks. The bottom is probably 1/16 to 1/8 inch thick fabric so it doesn't offer enough protection. They were great for rocks, but if something was sharp it went straight through.
