How to connect a 12V, 120V or 240V switch The switch is similar to a household light switch, which means that the neutral and ground are connected together, just connect them together and slide them into the Cover; and 4 clamps are only used for hot wires. There are two sides, left and right, and only both sides are used when connecting to 240V as you then have two hot wires in and two hot wires out. Otherwise, if you use 120V, you only need to connect one side of the terminal. If you use it for 12V, the same applies, just connect one side. Hot wires are colored differently for 12V (white) than for 120V (black) than for 240V (red and black). The water pressure switch works by pressing the back of the switch to break the connection when it comes to pressure. Terminals L1/M (one side) and M/L2 (right side). L1 = power supply input M = power supply output (water pump) M and L2 are for 240V only and are L2 power input and M output (corresponding to the colors). I hooked it up to 12v and couldn't find a video or anyone to explain how it works so I knew what to do. So I connected it to 12V 4 terminals left to right L1 = white (+) from power supply m = white (+) to water pump power m = not needed L2 = not needed then connect your black (-) together with the wire nut and slide it into the switch cover. Ready. They don't use M or L2. * If connecting to 240V, connect the black (hot) wires to L1 and M and the red wire to M and L2. together. * The middle setting is for adjusting the pressure up or down (this is the general main setting you need to turn backwards until you get the value you want) (your cutoff setting is the smaller knob on the top left) (if you adjust this Main adjustment in the middle, the range stays as you set it, meaning if it is 30-50 and you turn it counter clockwise 4 full turns to bring it to 20psi then it is now 20-40 (See how this changes the overall range? So your cutoff setting also changes and stays in range.) Top screw in the top left corner to do this. It's smarter to lower it by turning it counter-clockwise, one full turn changes the pressure by 2.5psi. inches * The smaller setting, shifted to the upper left, is for the high pressure cutoff. Adjust it after setting the desired low pressure range. I believe the settings for this screw are the same, 2.5psi per turn, clockwise to raise, counterclockwise to lower.
