What you need to know, 48W is the power for both. I have measured that a lamp draws about 2.2A at 12 volts, which is about 24W of power. So with two lamps you get 48W as advertised. The color is pure white, neither yellowish nor bluish, which I definitely like. Build quality is excellent too, solid construction with thick wires, but although it's advertised as 'flooded' I'd say its light output is Spot + Flood - has a relatively bright spot in the center and a dimmer one, but plenty wider bay area. Anyway, I bought them to light my porch off a 12v solar battery and they do their job well.
