Review on Nexen Winguard Ice SUV 225/65 R17 102Q winter by Petar Angelov ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's not a bad product, but I expect more.

Rav 4 4th body four-wheel drive. I can’t say about aquaplaning, it seems to be normal :) In principle, if you are not picky about rubber, you can take it. But don't expect super duper results. And don't skimp. After all, rubber is the only thing that connects you to the road. For myself, I decided that I would not save more on rubber. Why 3 stars? Because I used to ride only on spikes (nexen Spike), so I don’t know how premium Velcro behaves. But according to tests, Nexen loses to rivals. By the way, tires change their behavior as the temperature drops. I went at -5 / -10 and -21, the difference is decent. -21 behave very well and as comfortable as possible on all surfaces. At -20 and below, they have no minuses at all, they start to slow down on ice and rolled snow like rally tires . . Maybe they were created for the most severe winters?

Pros
  • Really wear-resistant rubber, for 60 thousand it was not worn down to the limiters. strong sides. In turns on any surface behaves perfectly! The price is good 225/65 17. Fashionable to find for 5-6 thousand. Production Korea. Nice tread pattern. And the most surprising thing is that it slows down on relief ice no worse than Pirelli ice zero spikes! On fresh snow all-wheel drive rides well. Even sat on the bottom and went out. Yes, and in principle, any rubber on all-wheel drive rides well.
Cons
  • Hum. Behavior on ice powdered with snow is terrible. Behavior on packed snow is mediocre, 3/5. Braking on pavement at speeds>90 just pipets, 0/5. And wet and dry one song. At a speed of 130 off-season, at t +1-+5, you won’t drive for a long time, you get tired, you drive a car. It is very easy to wash with snow. Yes, so willingly that the lamellas are not needed. In Hong Kong, where eternal salt, rubber does not feel very good. Lacks pitch and grooves. Often wears a typewriter. Washes off instantly on dirt. Even summer nt420s ride much better. Although this is not atshka. Controversial minus. I don’t know who drove it there at +8 AT HIGH SPEEDS and everything was perfect, maybe before that you had the most oak goodriches? ) But at +8 it is simply dangerous to ride on it, half the effort on the pedal and already the abs chirps. Too soft, too. And at high speeds, it inflates them so wildly that the car rises and the steering wheel becomes weightless. I consider 130-140 high speeds.
