Review on Genie 100 OEM Genie Corp by Scott Rodriguez

I have two Genie 1/2 HP garage door openers. I needed two carts for two insulated and heavy garage doors, but I bought one to test the construction and similarity between old and new before investing in another. The former original factory units lasted 22 years and both fell into disrepair at about the same time. Upon closer inspection, the knots were nearly identical. The case is strong, the gearbox looks mighty. As you can see, the new block had a shorter horizontal part on one side. The installation was done by me and my master, a cat. The job could have taken 10 minutes but he hid my key by 1/2. And since he pays me by the hour, I extended the job to 30 minutes by installing new lightbulbs and cleaning the lens cap in the motor housing. I didn't add any extra lube to the screwdriver as it was well coated. I will probably revise and add to it in the spring. I will be placing an order for another door carriage assembly very soon. Delivery was quick, contents well packaged.
