Update: Nov 2018 After nearly losing an expensive pendant to one of these clasps I have upgraded my rating of these clasps to 5 stars. These are the only clasps I will be using for now. I trust them completely. They're pressed together so tightly that sometimes I have to fiddle with them to separate them. I am okay! (Original review) I have four different types of magnetic clasps and this is the best I have found so far. I only use them for necklaces, not for bracelets. Here's what I like and don't like about them. Pros: 1) seem strong and the locking mechanism seems to add extra holding power 2) doesn't add to the length of the necklace like most other clasps - about 1 1/2 inches less extra length possible. One of my biggest complaints about these types of clasps is that they make the necklace look longer Clasps on Light Chains Cons: 1) I wish they added even less length 2) Color I have 14k gold chains of almost every shade and this one Clasps don't match. The silver ones don't look like silver either. With a necklace where I can hide the clasp on the back this is less important, but with a bracelet it could be more of a problem. I'd give it 5 stars, but I'll save that for those who can make a decent magnet zipper that adds less than an inch to the length.
