After reading other reviews I was very skeptical about the Cobra scanner but after trying my printer scanner and my standalone scanner I decided to give it a go to attempt. I was very disappointed that the instructions didn't say how to lighten or darken the photos and I boxed them up to return them which I hated as I hated the quick and easy way of scanning and also the fact that it was is saved like to the memory card. Eventually I started experimenting with different modes, doing single and double clicks and I'm very happy to report that when in capture mode, double click the enter button and the EV screen will appear. Simply move the cursor to plus or minus to determine the lightness or darkness of the photo. i love cobra
