Very well packaged. I have a Pana-Vue 2 model, which costs a little more than the non-2 model, but should have additional features. The good: It works perfectly, 2 AA batteries (including good quality branded 4 AA) very easy to install. simply by pressing the back of the device. I am satisfied with this slide viewer, it is smaller than I expected, does not enlarge the slide but works well and serves its intended purpose. (for slideshow) And only uses the 2 AA batteries that were included.

Nice little product to look at your old slides. Bonus - I can easily snap a photo of a slide by pointing my phone camera at it and clicking on my phone (you have to hold down the slide viewer for the light to stay on, so it takes a bit of practice). The resulting slide photos look decent. I saved a lot of time taking photos without having to install more complex equipment like a scanner with slide holder etc. I'm sure there are better ones out there for a lot of money but this worked great for…

These slide viewers have been around since the 1950's to the 60's. This is a very reliable old-style technology. Pana View does not work at all. Somehow they managed to screw up this instrument. I checked the bulb and changed the batteries. Everything is OK. Without taking it apart, I think it has something to do with connections. Leave it to Pana-Vue to mess up such a solid technology. It's also very stressful! A tool that should be as reliable as a hammer fails. Returned.

There were about 100 old (!) loose slides in the bag. Another family member adopted our old viewer and lives across the country. This one was ancient - but so similar to this one! What I like best is that the light is NOT fixed so no wasting batteries and lightbulbs! I really enjoyed seeing slides that I had never seen before because for some reason they never made it onto the carousel and some of them - almost all of them to be honest - were worth seeing. I was so glad to know that this way of surfing still exists. I got off to a good start with sorting the slides and preparing them for shipment for digitization. I have ordered a cable from you and should receive it in a few days. It will be useful to have a few spectators after me. Maybe the granddaughter will help for a few days. My father is 87 years old and has a large collection of family photos in slide form. He has the exact same Panavue he has had for over 20 years and he asked if I could get him another one. I was amazed that this PanaVue 2 is the same model my father had for so many years. I ordered 2 more. Now we can sit with him and reminisce. Thank you, he is very happy.

We have many old slides in boxes from years past and we need an easy way to review slides to see if they should be saved/scanned etc .Since we couldn't find our old slide viewer we bought this from Revain at a great price. Unlike another reviewer, the batteries were easy to put in and the slide viewer was great afterwards. This viewer is easy to use and practical since it is mobile, which gives us the flexibility to use it. Very satisfied with the product!

I have no complaints about the product. I work as described and have no functional defects. The bulb is bright enough to see the slides clearly. I just wish I had a bigger screen. But it works for my needs to display a lot of old slides. I am very glad that there is a cheap alternative to buying an overhead projector. This works great for a shoe box full of slides that I have.
