Review on Cycling Multitool Hero Kit Lightweight by Juan Huerta

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A year later just average

I was initially excited about this tool but after using it for over a year it was downgraded to 3 stars. Why? First, it's already rusting in several places, especially where metal meets metal, such as near a circuit breaker. Pretty surprised because I've never seen it with any other multi tool, but here it is. Second, I would like the actual length of the instruments to be a bit longer. Especially due to the short length of the Hex 4, it is often difficult to adjust the saddle. But it's a good tool. Good condition, there is a circuit breaker and not too busy looking. I'm just disappointed that the quality doesn't match the aesthetics. UPDATE (NOVEMBER 2018): Hero Kit read my review and contacted me to fix my rust issue. At her suggestion they sent a replacement multi tool which was very nice of them. Been using for a few months, still in great condition. The test comes this winter, when the damp and cold will inevitably take their toll. I hope the stainless steel comes out on the other side in good shape. So I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars. It won't get 5 stars because the modest length is still a bit short in some use cases. However, customer service plays a key role in the retail business and trading Hero Kit is greatly appreciated. Plus, like my previous review, it's a sleek and well-equipped multi-tool.
