mine is rusting, otherwise okay

mine is already rusting. Yes, it probably started raining while driving, and everything was soaked, and there were a lot of creek crossings. I probably washed the bike afterwards and maybe left it in my bag a little wet. But come on, if you want to make a quality bike tool that's as smooth as this, could you use decent quality stainless steel? What I've used so far works, just a couple of Allen drivers.

Has everything I need and nothing more

I've owned several bike multi tools in my 40 year career and the Hero Kit is by far the best I've carried in my saddlebag. Whether I need to adjust my switches or my steering wheel, this lightweight tool has all the wrenches I need without a lot of fabrication. With the Hero Kit, I am confident that I have everything I need for my next 75 mile trip. Thanks for your product Jason. Greetings to you and your team.

The spoke wrench is useless!

This tool is compact and lightweight. However, when I first used a spoke wrench, it only took a half turn for the wrench to slip through. The metal is relatively thin and will bend, causing it to expand, so it's useless. Look at the attached photo where the yellow arrow is pointing. The metal has a small dent and the coating is peeling off. Hex keys work well but are very tight on the axle. Needless to say I am returning this item for a refund and will be looking for another tool.

Small but not the lightest

It's small, thin and compact, but not the lightest, probably because it's not made of stainless steel like some high-end instruments. The weight on my kitchen scale is 148 grams. My Lezyne SV 11 tool weighs 105 grams. The weight is very noticeable up close, but if you don't have a comparison tool like the SV11 tool, don't worry. You will have a lot of light. I have to say right away that it's not the easiest. Otherwise, the tools make a very well-made impression and have everything you need in…

Great multi tool for the price.

I was skeptical at first because there were no reviews for this multitool. In any case, I decided to give it a try. BENEFITS - Well built. I like flat design. It fits well in my back pocket and doesn't take up much space when I carry it around when I travel. - Doesn't seem cheap. I've used the hex wrenches a dozen times over the course of a week and they show no signs of premature wear. - Low price. - Weighs only 5 ounces and has all the tools I need to make adjustments or quick repairs on the…

Slim and useful best when cycling

I used to have this exact tool from the now defunct E3 Cycling. I've had it for many years, I liked it and used it a lot on the trail. Then one day I died during a race (having used a tool to adjust a dragging caliper earlier in the race and hastily shoved it into the outside pocket of my camel pack instead of putting it back into my saddlebag). I think this is where I lost it and was disappointed my favorite emergency multi tool was gone. So I was delighted to find out that the exact same tool

Compact + Lightweight + Chain Tool = Winner

I've used several pocket tool options on my bike and almost all of them I don't like, either because of the added weight or the lack of a chain tool. From the attached photos you can see that the Silca Tredici Multi-Tool Italian Army Knife is compact and lightweight; however, it lacks the chain tool feature. While the Crank Bros tool is a chain tool, it is significantly larger (bigger and heavier) than the other two pictured. The clear winner for me is the Hero as it has all the tools I really…

A very good tool set. Very compact package.

I have 3 of these, one in each road bike saddlebag. I love the amount of tools it offers in an incredibly compact package, even the chain tool! One that really works. The chain tool looks flimsy, but I've used them a few times and they've never let me down. I also need to tighten the hex screws that hold them together. I've had to do this on all of them, but only when I get them for the first time. My eldest is over 4 years old and has never had to pull up. I can only assume that the…

A year later just average

I was initially excited about this tool but after using it for over a year it was downgraded to 3 stars. Why? First, it's already rusting in several places, especially where metal meets metal, such as near a circuit breaker. Pretty surprised because I've never seen it with any other multi tool, but here it is. Second, I would like the actual length of the instruments to be a bit longer. Especially due to the short length of the Hex 4, it is often difficult to adjust the saddle. But it's a good…
