Review on Reese Towpower 74708 T-Connector: Secure Trailer Towing Solution by Robert Mulrooney

Fits perfectly and does what it's supposed to

All the wires were cut to the perfect length for my 2016 Kia Soul so there were no tangles , which could be wound up and hidden somewhere. It's refreshing. It really was made to order for this car. Installation was easy, although 15 minutes is a little optimistic if you want to route the wires properly, using a split loom that covers them where they run left to right. There is metal between the plastic bumper pad and the chassis, so it is strongly recommended that you use a plastic wire sheath for safety. That means about ten more minutes of installation because you have to slide the bumper cover back to make room for the split optic. The best place to mount the controller module is in the headlight, in front of the top headlight in the housing (or "behind" it if you're looking at the car from the back). I just used strong tape to attach it to the fountain. It has a mounting hole for a screw, but the module case is plastic so it is not grounded through this hole. Overall I am happy with this strap. I hope it lasts longer than the one it replaced which was made by another manufacturer known for their trailer parts and accessories. It didn't even last two years and I rarely use the pendant. Let's see how this holds up. Richard

Pros

Cons
  • I vaguely remember
