Purchased for my 2008 Toyota Sienna. The instructions say to install a small junction box on the driver's side. Three sets of wires (and a ground wire) come out of this junction box. One set connects to the driver's side taillight, another to the passenger's taillight, and a third to the actual trailer connector that comes out of the car when in use. The problem was that the harness that had to run across the width of the car to the passenger's tail light was the shorter of the two harnesses. To make this work for me, I had to install the junction box, starting at the passenger's taillight and working my way through another set to the driver's side. Also, I first tried installing the junction box on the driver's side and just fitting the longer kit on the passenger's side, but my trailer's turn signals were then reversed. That's why the only thing that worked for me was propping up the passenger-side crossing and walking in a long line with the drivers. Hope this makes sense to someone else with the same problem!
