4 pcs. Grebstk Professional Wood Chisel Set today. I think the term "pro" is a stretch, and I'm sure a pro could use these, but would probably choose a different piece if given the opportunity. The handles look like red oak but feel unusually light in my hand. Steel. . . Forgiveness . . . The metal rings around the buttons are loose, twist a bit around the end and I'm afraid they might end up falling off. Are they supposed to be like this? The rings next to the blades are uneven and I'm afraid they might fall off as well. They are sharp and have an oily film to keep them from rusting, but the blades have a crown (for lack of a better term) on each of them. When laid flat, the underside of the chisel next to the handle and the underside of the pointed tip touch, but leave a gap of about 0.002 inch through which light enters the rest of the length. I saw a set of six bits at Harbor Freight that look exactly the same for $9.99, maybe I should have bought these instead. Well, as long as I don't hit them too hard with a hammer and break the handles. Not the best quality... but then I buy from Harbor Freight. Maybe I'll take some maple and make new holds.
