In general, the driver should be installed automatically when you connect a USB device to your computer for the first time. This is different with this programming cable. However, downloading and installing the driver from Radioddity's website was easy enough. After that, it's easy to connect to the radio and selecting a port in the program is easy. (In my case it was set to port 3 and it was the only option in the program that wasn't grayed out, so it's very easy). The connection is secure. I had no connection loss issues when uploading or downloading. Does exactly what it should.
