These were a little disappointing given the high ratings. The good thing is that they seem to be built quite well. But no better than that. I used them on a table saw stand that also holds the router table. The stand is not very heavy and I thought they would roll better. But either the wheels are defective or the bearings are sucking because they don't roll well on my epoxy floors. It feels like a flat tire. And yes, the locking mechanism is weird. For some reason he doesn't like being blocked. When I step on it, my Doc's sole just goes through and I have to try multiple times. Although I wouldn't say it sucks. These are just light roles and nothing more. Short falls are not enough for me not to use them.
