This part worked as advertised. I suggest that you look closely for the presence of an exhaust manifold gasket around the missing bolt before purchasing. If the seal goes away, it won't close the leak. My advice for the Tahoe 5.3 is that you do most of the work under the car. Yes, with removal of the front driveshaft and heat shield. Also, this part seems to be balanced. So if you screw in the top screw first and just dangle it, the hole for the bottom screw will be right where the hole in the part is. Of course, the car must be level from side to side. Yes, it's a hassle to install, but it saves a lot of money when the broken screw is on the rear left, like mine. Alternatively, the entire cylinder head can be removed. It costs thousands of dollars in most places and several hundred if you do it yourself. You will also break most of the exhaust system bolts when you remove the headers and you will have to perform difficult extractions. That part of the deal!
