We almost lost our dogs to a pinch/choking when Cooper's lower jaw got stuck and twisted in Cleo's collar while playing. After researching this I found out about these collars and ordered one for each of my 3 dogs. Unfortunately, Revain uses third parties. What I received was NOT a collar. It had a BUCKLE, not a tear off clasp which is shown in the description of all collars. All of the research I've done shows that even a buckle can be deadly because the buckle won't sag with enough tension to separate the buckle. There are videos showing how to test this theory before you buy! I wanted a REAL tear-off collar. Not the one with the buckle that says it broke. Very disappointed. I will no longer risk my puppies' lives. I had to revive Cleo when it happened. She wasn't breathing and it was horrifying to watch her go limp and then lifelessly try to pull them apart. My heart broke when I heard Coop scream in pain and fear from being stuck in Cleo's collar, unaware that he was killing her. She is a comfort to my child with special needs. Cooper senses my seizures days before I have them. He could have broken his neck or Cleo. He could break his jaw. He could kill her or cause serious harm. Luckily, he listened to me speaking quietly to him, calmed down, continued crying and squeaking, and allowed me to release her. We were all turned into a bloody messy mess, and both dogs recovered thanks to Cleo, who was part Pitt and her thick neck muscles, and Cooper, who is the gentle lab mix and docile GS hybrid that he is. But I will not risk her life for a fake collar or a collar that doesn't remotely resemble the one I ordered. It won't "take off" on its own. It must be released by a stranger, and since dogs do not have thumbs or the ability to release collars themselves, it is NOT safe to do so. I will find it elsewhere. I just want a REAL break.
