Hours of entertainment

I was a little skeptical that the stacking pads are made of cardboard, but they are solidly made and covered with a glossy and relatively strong decorative paper. My 13 month old can be rough on his toys and there is absolutely no risk of these blocks collapsing or being accidentally crushed by her. They are durable, although I deducted a star for durability as I noticed a small tear in the decorative paper around one of the largest 'building' cut out windows. It wasn't wear and tear, it was arrived that way and unfortunately it doesn't take long for a small scratch to turn into a pretty big crack when you pull on it. Luckily my daughter was too busy playing with the little wooden figures and trying to stack the bricks to fix a tiny defect (usually her specialty). : Block number 5 has 5 sunflowers printed on top), and windows, bikes, trees, butterflies, bees, flowers and more are printed on each side. You can stack all five to the top, or build a small village out of small buildings. To be honest I didn't expect my daughter to take this toy as much as I found it too advanced for her age but it's probably her FAVORITE toy at the moment. If I sit down with her at the beginning, she likes to play with her for 15-20 minutes in the morning, noon and evening. I like that at the end of the day everything is neatly stored away in a large box that also has a magnetic closure to keep everything safe. wonderful toy set and really perfect for toddlers. Great ways to practice counting, naming items, pretending to fold/organize and clean. 100% would recommend this toy to family or friends; definitely gift-worthy.
